My uncles and dad were a believer in paying it forward when I was younger as a musician. I had a lot of fun times jamming with them, playing songs I'd never heard before in my old house's conservatory. At the age of 17, it taught me a lot and gave me a set of ears, coming from being a bedroom noodler who never practiced to tracks and was extremely green and naïve.
In the last few years my uncle Jimmy had been retired from singing. 10 or so years on from those conservatory jams, I was desperate to pay it back and be on a professionally produced EP with him. In his mid 70s, I managed to persuade him to come out of retirement and I'm so proud of how he's held his own recording these few songs. Who knows if he'll do any more, but it was enjoyable from start to finish and these are musical memories I'll cherish forever.
It would mean the world if you could have a listen.

I did. Very nice Steven. I appreciate your paying respect to your uncle and to those others who helped to form your own love and appreciation for the music.

Steven you did real good. Certainly a family treasure that you can be proud of. I enjoyed the steel and your Uncles vocals.
