Is this a Rickenbacher

Hi Everyone,

The only information I can find on the guitar is that it may be a Rickenbacher.

Is anyone able confirm please.

I’m looking to sell it once I can confirm its value.

Looks like a Rickenbacker Lap Steel. However I am not sure.

It’s modeled after a Rick but the pickup is not correct, it seems to me. Maybe a homemade job.

An RSO. Rickenbacher Shaped Object.

It could possibly be a Ric body & neck. Is the body a material like a bowling ball (bakelite) or is it wood?

Moved to Steel Without Pedals.

It’s definitely not made by Rickenbacker, but whoever built it had Rickenbacher in mind.

If the body HAD been bakelite, then this image would be sort of appropriate. As in "look what they've done to my Ric, ma!"
But not having anything to do with an actual commercial guitar, it's only value is as a player --- if it plays and sounds really good. Then I'd price it around, I dunno, $200 US?

Reminds me of an Audiovox, those colored fret markers of a Vega, but I'd bet it was a period Aussie copy of a Ricky. I don't think it's worth a fortune, but it's kinda cool
