Re: Foot percussion, harmony and fiddle
That foot patter is standard in Quebecois fiddling. And a fair-few Canadian fiddlers seem to add it to other styles of reels. Here is Sheesham, Lotus and 'Son playing an old time tune (Roscoe) with the patter: https://youtube.com/watch?v=CnUSM7vr5mE&feature=sharesNorman Evans wrote:I came across this video and thought it was pretty unique.

It's a great way to add some drive to a tune. Here's a tutorial: https://youtube.com/watch?v=m3ijnnjOlO0&feature=shares
Good version of that tune in the OP. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool Charlie, We are going to the local Deutscher Club on friday where my good friend Tage will be playing Christmas tunes on Accordion. Love all that kind of music, he had an Oktober fest back in Oct, and as always there was a Zither player. Talk about alot of strings!
Regards, Craig
