Hi
Very much missed.. I have been listening to a lot of his great work in recent days, especially the Vince Gill recordings, and videos on the tube too. I saw him on my first visit to the USA in Dallas 2006 and have some of my own personal pictures taken of him on his set just before Franklins' set I seem to remember, Every note, phrase and lick was always played with so much accuracy and emotion.. I will continue to listen to his work for ever..
Gone Home is a nice feature of this forum...
I recommend listening to 'Look At Us' now, and thinking of him..
Sincerely,
David Hartley

The Best
John I will never forget, he made my day when he ask me to make him a special bar and knowing that he was pleased, what an honor to have had that previlege to do that for an Icon like John.
He was one of the kindest person that you could ever meet. Just wish we had more like him.
Yes David when you hear "LOOK AT US" John is there with you. Such feeling put into a song. Vince was very lucky to have John play Steel for him.
We still pray for Jean and family.
